Second BPSO Champion cohort begins work

The second cohort of Fairmount Home Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) champions began work with a rigourous training session at the home, April 16. The training was facilitated by Registered Nurses of Ontario (RNAO) Long-Term Care Best Practice Implementation Coach, Deji Bondunde. BPSO Champtions provide on-site mentorship to people working with Fairmount Home to help bridge the gap between research and resident care. It's all about ensuring the best possible care for Fairmount residents.
A new cohort of Fairmount Home BPSO Champions began work with a training session, April 16.Fairmount is an RNAO BPSO pre-designate, almost two years into its three-year designation journey. BPSO designation is an enduring professional partnership between Fairmount Home and the RNAO. It’s all about independent peer review and ensuring that Fairmount Home’s nursing staff continue to achieve the highest level of state-of-the-art care for residents. When full BPSO designation is achieved, it will signal that Fairmount exceeds professional standards for resident care. It’s independent confirmation that Fairmount nurses are professional leaders among long-term care homes in Ontario.
