Why is the Township making these changes?
The Township completed an Organizational and Service Delivery Review to identify opportunities to improve coordination, strengthen municipal operations, support staff capacity, and improve long-term service delivery for residents.
The goal is to ensure the organization remains sustainable, responsive, and prepared to meet growing municipal responsibilities and future community needs.
What is Phase 1?
Phase 1 focuses on practical operational improvements and additional organizational supports that can be implemented over the next several months.

Is the Township restructuring?
Phase 1 is focused on operational improvements and organizational support. While there will be some staffing additions and workflow adjustments, this is not a large-scale restructuring initiative.
Will municipal services change?
The intent is to strengthen and improve municipal service delivery. Residents may notice improvements to coordination, communication, response times, and internal processes as implementation progresses.

The review identified areas where additional support would improve efficiency, coordination, customer service, and long-term planning.

What changes are happening in Public Works?
Public Works will be implementing clearer operational coordination and subject matter leadership responsibilities in areas such as roads, waste, fleet, facilities, and winter maintenance.
These changes are intended to improve communication, consistency, and operational coordination.
Why is Treasury changing to Financial Services?
The department name is being updated to better reflect the responsibilities and services currently provided by the department.
This is primarily an organizational and administrative update.
What is asset management?
Asset management refers to long-term planning for municipal infrastructure and equipment such as roads, vehicles, facilities, and operational assets.

When will changes happen?
Phase 1 implementation work has already begun and will continue throughout 2026. Some changes will occur immediately, while others will be implemented gradually over time.
Will this increase taxes?
Any budget impacts related to staffing or implementation will continue to be reviewed through the Township’s normal public budget process and Council decision-making process.
Will employees lose their jobs?
The focus of the implementation plan is on improving organizational support, coordination, and service delivery. The review does not contemplate job losses as part of Phase 1 implementation.
How will the public be updated?
The Township will continue to provide updates through Council meetings, public communications, and updates posted on Engage Frontenac as implementation progresses.
