Official Plan Finalized and Approved

The Township of South Frontenac Council adopted the new Official Plan on May 20, 2025, and on November 19, 2025, the County of Frontenac approved, with modifications, the new Official Plan for the Township of South Frontenac. The Official Plan describes how the Township will plan to accommodate future growth and development and meet the needs of the community. The Plan includes policies to build healthy communities, promote diverse housing options, promote economic development, and protect agricultural land and natural heritage systems. The appeal period closed on December 10, 2025, and the Township’s new Official Plan is now in full force as of November 19, 2025.
