UPDATE – August 6, 2026 – The Eagle Creek Bridge is off to a great start.

Works completed – weeks of July 20 to August 7

Implementation of full road closure
Installation of environmental protection, cofferdams and dewatering
Demolition of existing structure and excavation/rock removal for new footings
Placement of mud slab (leveling course over removed rock)
Placement of cast in place footings
Placement of precast rigid frame structure

Works forecasted – weeks of August 9 to August 28 (weather permitting)

Installation of retaining walls concurrent with backfill of structure
Placement of new concrete distribution slab including reinforcing steel on top of rigid frame structure
Installation of new structure railing and guide rail
Placement of hot rubberized asphalt waterproofing and protection board
Placement of 2 lifts of hot mix asphalt
Removal of cofferdam and environmental controls

Tentative reopening of the roadway is September 30. Further updates will be provided late August. Road closure updates, where necessary, continue to be issued through the Municipal 511 system to all emergency service and school transportation providers.
