UPDATE – April 28, 2026 – The replacement of the Eagle Creek bridge on Bob’s Lake Road will be moving forward this summer. Crains Construction Ltd. has been awarded the contract for the bridge replacement, and their crews will be onsite this month installing environmental fencing and controls (silt fences/exclusion fences) for protection of the work zone.
Work on the structure demolition and replacement will start during the week of July 13th when in -water work restrictions are lifted on July 15th. Construction activities will continue at the site for approximately 12 weeks through to the end of September. Bob’s Lake Road will be closed at the structure during construction, and a detour route will be in place for the duration of the closure. Notifications of the road closure will also be addressed with emergency services and school transportation providers during this period.
