When does Advance Voting start?

    Advanced voting will start October 19th at 9:00 am and will continue until October 26th at 8:00 pm. Electors will be able to vote anytime including weekends during this time period.

    Where will the Voter Assistance Centre be located?

    The Voter Assistance Centre will be located  at the Township office. It will be open from October 19th to October 23rd from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and October 26th from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm.

    Who can provide an endorsement signature?

    Anyone providing an endorsement signature must be eligible to vote in the municipality on the day that they signed the endorsement. In addition to their endorsement, they will also be required to sign a declaration that they are eligible to vote in the municipality.

    Can a person endorse more than one Candidate?

    A person who is eligible to vote in the municipality may provide endorsements to as many candidates as they would like and may endorse candidates for any office on the municipal council.

    For the position of Councillor, does the person providing an endorsement have to be an elector in that ward? A

    A person who is running for a ward councillor office may submit signatures from voters who do not live in that ward.

    Am I eligible to be a member of Council?

    Eligible candidates for municipal elections must be:

    • A Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old 
    • A resident of the municipality, a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the municipality or the spouse of such non-resident owner or tenant
    • Not legally prohibited from voting; and not disqualified by any legislation from holding municipal office.

    Am I eligible to vote in the upcoming election?

    Eligible voters for municipal elections must be: 

    • A Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old
    • A resident OR a property owner or tenant OR the spouse of an owner or tenant in the municipality
