The Frontenac Business Awards honour and celebrate people who not only build and operate businesses in Frontenac but who also embody the spirit of community building and mutually beneficial collaboration needed for our robust and growing local economy.

The Frontenac Business Awards honour and celebrate people who not only build and operate businesses in Frontenac but who also embody the spirit of community building and mutually beneficial collaboration needed for our robust and growing local economy.

As well as the distinction, winners receive a physical award designed by a local Frontenac artist that depicts the Frontenac brand. They also receive an award seal they may display on their website or social media channels.

The five Frontenac Business Award Categories

The Frontenac County Council Business of the Year Award

Nominees are business operators who demonstrate the spirit of Frontenac County Council through their overall excellence in entrepreneurship, community connection, or leadership and mentorship.

The New Business Award

Nominees are business operators in Frontenac who have made significant impacts on commerce in our region with new ventures. Nominees exhibit qualities of community participation, innovation, and leadership. Eligible nominees have operated their new business for more than one year but fewer than three.

The Partnership and Collaboration Award

Nominees are business operators in Frontenac who distinguish themselves by working together with other business operators in our region to bring new products, services, and experiences to market; or by developing innovative and mutually beneficial methods, approaches, or resources among business operators in Frontenac.

The Sustainability Award

Nominees are business operators in Frontenac who demonstrate through their work and business a commitment to preserving and protecting the natural environment that makes Frontenac County so special.

The Women-led Business Award

This award celebrates women-led businesses and women entrepreneurs in Frontenac. Nominees in this category distinguish themselves through their innovation, entrepreneurship, excellence in customer service, and overall success. Women-Led Business Award nominees demonstrate leadership in all they do in the Frontenac community.

    Frontenac County Council Business of the Year Award nominees are business operators in Frontenac who demonstrate the spirit of Frontenac County Council through overall excellence in entrepreneurship, community connection, and leadership.
