Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Frontenac passed By-Law #2026-39 on the 9th day of July 2026 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13 being an amendment to Zoning By-law #55-19.

Purpose and Effect Zoning By-law Amendment
The purpose and effect of the proposed amendment to Zoning By-law #55-19 was to provide administrative changes for clarification; and to enact several minor corrections.

A full copy of the amending by-law with all detailed changes is available on request.

Location of Zoning By-law Amendment

The proposed amendments apply to the entire Township of North Frontenac; therefore, no map is included.

Public Comments

Council held a public meeting on June 11, 2026. No written comments from the public were received; and no verbal comments were provided at the public meeting.

Notice of Appeal Period

Notice is hereby given that the last date for appealing this decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal is August 4, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

The applicant, the Minister, a specified person or any public body as prescribed in the Planning Act, may, not later than the date and time noted above, appeal the decision or any condition imposed by the Township or appeal both the decision and any condition to the Tribunal. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the decision was made, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

A Notice of Appeal can be filed with the Clerk/Planning Manager either through the Ontario Land Tribunal E-File Portal at https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/ by selecting North Frontenac, Township as the approval authority or by mail or in-person at 6648 Road 506, Plevna ON K0H 1K0. The Notice must set out the reasons for the appeal. The filing of an appeal after 4:00 p.m., in-person or electronically, will be deemed to have been received the next business day. If the E-File Portal is down you can submit your appeal to clerkplanning@northfrontenac.ca.

The prescribed appeal fee can be paid online through e-file or by certified check or money order made payable to the Minister of Finance, Province of Ontario.

Personal information collected as a result of this application is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), the Planning Act, and all other relevant legislation, and will be used to assist in making a decision on this matter. All personal information (as defined by MFIPPA), including, but not limited to, names, addresses, opinions and comments collected will be made available for public disclosure to members of the public, through requests, and through the website of the Township of North Frontenac.
