K&P Trail Rehabilitation: Snow Road Station to Wilbur

Frontenac County is preparing to rehabilitate approximately 7.8 kilometers of the K&P Trail from Snow Road Station toward Wilbur in the Township of North Frontenac.

The work is expected to include brushing and mowing, clearing and site preparation, drainage improvements, culvert replacement and installation, placement of aggregate, grading, compaction, and new wayfinding signs and kilometer markers. Once complete, this project will substantially complete improvements to the K&P Trail across South, Central, and North Frontenac

Qualified contractors are invited to submit a bid using the County's Bids & Tenders Platform by Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Construction is expected to begin after October 5, 2026, subject to completion of the procurement process and confirmation of the contractor’s schedule.

The County recognizes that construction through Snow Road Station will take place close to nearby homes. The project will be planned to complete work within the hamlet as efficiently as possible, with a target of concentrating that portion of the work within approximately one week. This timing remains subject to the contractor’s final work plan.

Adjacent landowners will receive direct notice before construction begins. A further update will be provided once the contract has been awarded and a detailed schedule is available.
